The short answer
The heart line is the top line across your palm, running from under the little finger toward the first or middle finger. In palmistry it is read for how you love, trust and show your feelings, not for who you will marry.
Where is the heart line?
Look at the top of your palm, just under the fingers. The heart line starts at the outer edge, under your little finger, and runs across toward the first or middle finger.
It is the highest of the long lines. The head line runs below it across the middle of the palm, and the life line curves around the thumb. If two lines seem to merge into one across the palm, see the section on a single line below.
What does it mean where the heart line ends?
Ending under the first finger is read as wanting a steady, loyal bond and expecting a lot from the people you love.
Ending under the middle finger is read as someone who shows love by doing things rather than saying them. Ending between the two fingers is read as a balance of both. These are tendencies, and the rest of your hand changes how they play out.
Curved or straight heart line
A long line that curves up toward the fingers is read as warm and open with feelings. You say what you feel and like others to do the same.
A straighter line that runs across the palm is read as careful. You think before you speak about feelings and take time to trust.
Breaks, forks and chains on the heart line
A fork at the end, where the line splits in two, is read as being able to see both sides of a relationship. Many palmists see it as a good sign for patience.
A break or a chained, wavy stretch is read as a time of change or strong feeling in close relationships. It is not read as a fixed event, and it does not predict a break-up.
What the heart line can't tell you
Palmistry is a tradition, not a scientific test. The heart line can't tell you when you will marry, whether a relationship will last, or anything about your physical heart. For any health worry, see a doctor.
In our readings the heart line is read together with the marriage lines and your kundli. A time window is given only when they agree.
Frequently asked questions
Which hand's heart line should I look at?
Your dominant hand, the one you use for writing. It is read for how you are now.
What if I have no heart line?
Almost everyone has one. If you can't see it, it may be faint or merged with the head line into a single line across the palm.
What does a single line across the palm mean?
When the heart and head lines join into one line, it is called a simian line. It is read as someone whose thinking and feeling move together, often very focused.
Does the heart line show heart health?
No. It is read for feelings and relationships only. For your health, please see a doctor.
