The short answer
Marriage lines are the short lines on the outer edge of your palm, between the heart line and the little finger. Palmistry reads them for close bonds and commitment. They can't give a marriage date on their own.
Where is the marriage line?
Turn your hand slightly so you can see its outer edge, below the little finger. Between the bottom of the little finger and the start of the heart line, you may see one or more short lines running across the edge.
In India these are called vivah rekha. Some people have one clear line, some have two or three, and some have none. All of these are normal.
What one, two or more marriage lines mean
One long, clear line is read as a deep and steady bond. Two or more lines are read as more than one important relationship in life, which can include a close bond that does not end in marriage.
The clearest and longest line is usually read as the most important bond. Faint lines are read as passing attachments.
Is the marriage line read for early or late marriage?
Some palmists read a line close to the heart line as commitment coming earlier, and a line close to the little finger as later. This is a rough tradition, not a clock.
We don't give a marriage age from this line alone. Timing comes from your kundli, and we give a window only when the palm and the chart agree.
Broken, forked or curved marriage lines
A break is read as a pause or a big change in a relationship, such as living apart for work. A fork at the end is read as two people with different paths who need to make room for each other.
A line that curves down toward the heart line is read as needing care and patience in the bond. None of these marks is a verdict on your marriage.
What the marriage line can't tell you
Palmistry is a tradition, not a scientific test of character or the future.
It can't tell you whom you will marry, whether a match is right, or whether a marriage will last. Kundli milan and honest conversation do that work better than any line.
Read it as a prompt to think about what you want from a partner, not as a forecast.
Frequently asked questions
I have no marriage line. Does that mean I won't marry?
No. Many married people have no clear marriage line. It is not read as a sign that you won't marry.
Which hand's marriage line should I read?
Your dominant hand, the one you use for writing.
Can the marriage line tell my marriage age?
Not on its own. Timing comes from your kundli. We read both together.
